Dive deeper into beekeeping with our friend Kate from Rune Exchange, hosted at Headlong Farm! The Hive Dive will be an intermediate/advanced level hands-on beekeeping experience.
Kate is an experienced local beekeeper who not only manages her own hives, but also sells her bee-made goods at markets throughout the central Texas area. She is a registered beehive removal expert and loves teaching others about bees!
This 90 min class will provide the equipment, knowledge, and technique! Kate will cover the safe handling of bees, proper use of equipment, visual inspection techniques, and hands-on experience in the hive. There will be time for questions and coordination for more advanced classes if there is interest in the future.
Ticket cost: $60 per person
Location: Headlong Farm, 965 FM3000 Elgin, TX
Keep in mind that this will be a hands-on fully suited bee class. Bee suits and gloves will be provided. Attendees will be required to wear boots and tall socks.
Safety Waiver signing required. Attendees must be at least 18 years of age.
